San Marino is an incredible place to visit. You got spectacular panorama, picturesque medieval castles and their streets, fantastic atmosphere and delicious foods.
During our visit, we spent a whole day exploring the towers. We start at about 9 AM to catch up on the funavia (cablecar). Unfortunately, it was unavailable the day we were there due to scheduled maintenance. So we decided to use our car to go uphill.

I recommend this as per experience: if you want to get a perfect photo and have a whole free day, go first explore all the towers and museums in the morning. If you are lucky enough, not so crowded, you can get a perfect shot. Lunchtime is good also to get a photo of some places because there are fewer people around. Another tip with fewer roaming people is in the afternoon around 5 PM in this time the museums are closed plus sunset gives a gorgeous color of some parts of Monte Titano, you can able to rephotograph again. By the way, we visited the month of October 18. Autumn’s essence is in the air.

San Marino is located inside the Italian map, and they are not Italians. They are Sammarinese people. This mountainous little micro-nation surrounded by north-central Italy they speak the Italian language, as well. 5th smallest place of the world that retains its historic architecture and 3rd smallest country in Europe. The capital of San Marino is Monte Titano, where you can see the famous Three Towers. The area of San Marino is just 62,2Km2 and has about 33,000 population. This republic has plenty of hills if you are a trekking lover; this is good for you.

1. Rocca Guaita Tower

The first tower was constructed in the 11th century. Before, it served as a prison and was rebuilt several times for different uses until it reached the form in the present. Get an effort to climb until the top, and that spectacular panorama paid off your brisk walking.
