San Marino is an incredible place to visit. You got spectacular panorama, picturesque medieval castles and their streets, fantastic atmosphere and delicious foods.<\/p>\n

During our visit, we spent a whole day exploring the towers. We start at about 9 AM to catch up on the fun via (cablecar). Unfortunately, it was unavailable the day we were there due to scheduled maintenance. So we decided to use our car to go uphill.<\/p>\n

I recommend this as per experience: if you want to get a perfect photo and have a whole free day, go first explore all the towers and museums in the morning. If you are lucky enough, not so crowded, you can get a perfect shot. Lunchtime is good also to get a photo of some places because there are fewer people around. Another tip with fewer roaming people is in the afternoon around 5 PM in this time the museums are closed plus sunset gives a gorgeous color of some parts of Monte Titano, you can able to photograph again. By the way, we visited the month of October 18. Autumn’s essence is in the air.<\/p>\n

San Marino is located inside the Italian map, and they are not Italians. They are Sammarinese people. This mountainous little micro-nation surrounded by north-central Italy they speak the Italian language, as well. 5th smallest place of the world that retains its historic architecture and 3rd smallest country in Europe. The capital of San Marino is Monte Titano, where you can see the famous Three Towers. The area of San Marino is just 62 sq km and has about 33,000 population. This republic has plenty of hills if you are a trekking lover; this is good for you.<\/p>\n

1. Guaita Tower<\/h5>\n

The first tower was constructed in the 11th century. Before, it served as a prison and was rebuilt several times for different uses until it reached the form in the present. Get an effort to climb until the top, and that spectacular panorama paid off your brisk walking.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

2. Cesta Tower<\/h5>\n

The highest tower among them it has about 739-meter-high. Inside there is a museum to honor Saint Marinus, created in 1956, inside this tower and showcases over 1,550 weapons dating from the Medieval Era to the modern-day. It was built in the 13th century on the remains of an older Roman fort.<\/p>\n

3. Montale Tower<\/h5>\n

This third tower was not open to the public before it used a prison, and this tower has a door entrance about 7 meters from the ground level.<\/p>\n

4. Palazzo Pubblico and Piazza della Liberta<\/h5>\n

This Gothic-style Government House (Palazzo Pubblico) with its square crenelated tower was designed by the architect Francesco Azzurri in the late 1800s and built of stone quarried on Mount Titano. This piazza is the center and the main town square where celebrations, festivals, and events are held.<\/p>\n

5. Passo Delle Streghe<\/h5>\n

Passo Delle Streghe( The Witches Path) is a cobbed walkaway between Guatia and Cesta Tower. To tell you, we spent hours here waiting until the zone is people-free to get the perfect clean photo. As I said above, come back here in the afternoon to get a romantic capture with a sunset. It is my favorite spot among all.<\/p>\n

6. Basilica di San Marino<\/h5>\n

This classic basilica was built in the early 19th century. It is dedicated to Saint Marinus, the founder of San Marino.<\/p>\n

7. Wax Museum<\/h5>\n

This mini wax museum presents a small collection of sculptures of famous people and medieval torture techniques.<\/p>\n

8. Titanus Museum – Multimedia<\/h5>\n

Experience a\u00a0museum not to be missed if you visit the Republic of San Marino, especially if you want to discover the history and geographical evolution of the territory.<\/p>\n

9. Funavia (cablecar)<\/h5>\n

The cable car runs from a lower end in Borgo Maggiore to the upper station in the Historic City of San Marino.<\/p>\n

TIPS<\/h5>\n

A. This card gives you many benefits to save 10% to 50% discount on every ticket you buy in each city museum, affiliated private museums, shops, and restaurants. It is a free card that is given in the hotel. Not all know about this card though you may request this to the hotel where you are staying.<\/p>\n

B. If you are staying in any hotel and decide to travel by car to San Marino, do not forget to request the parking ticket directly from the reception. At the price of \u20ac 4.00 (compared to \u20ac 4.50 for 4 \/ 5h ), you have the right to park your car for 24 hours in any car park (except the covered one under Porta San Francesco).<\/p>\n

During our visit, we stayed at Hostaria Da Lino
We stayed in the same hotel and decided to have dinner there because we were so tired of exploring Monte Titano. It was a good decision everything was great.
They gave us a romantic and cozy table, the service was delightful and professional, and the food was deliciously Amazing!
First night, I order antipasti Tris Carpaccio Di Pesce, second plate was Filetto Di Branzino In Guazzetto E Pendolini with contorni spinach. While my husband gets his antipasti Assortimento Di Formaggi E Miele and second plate Grigliata Mista Di Carne and potato fries. Accompanied with wines and desserts.
Prices are very reasonable considering the food’s amount, quality, and taste: wine, dishes, two desserts for 78\u20ac!
Our room is spacious, dusty-free, smells free, and well managed. The bathroom is cleaned and has basic toiletries. The room has a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a refrigerator providing exceptional comfort and convenience. Guests can go online with free wifi sometimes on and off, but it is not a big deal. This hostaria is not recommended to those decadent people.
